I like the voices and the variety of speeds. I use it mostly on Google docs to listen to stories I've written or stories I'm helping a writer friend edit and works fairly well with that. It helps me pick up errors I might have missed otherwise. It has a few annoying quirks or I'd give it five stars. It pauses far too long between page breaks and if I highlight at text midway through the page for it to read it starts at the beginning. I also can't edit something as it's reading because if I pause it and edit the reader goes back to the beginning of the page to read again which is time consuming and annoying. There's a fast forward but if you hit it too many times the reader stalls and I have to have it start at the top of the page. Beyond those little quirks it is a far better text to speech app than the others I've used.
I like how I'm able to use this to study by having my books read and re-read to me. It helps me concentrate better, as I have ADHD and when reading my books on my own, I'm not able to concentrate. Natural Reader helps my read along and listen at a higher speed than I would be able to read, manually. Thank you, Natural Reader!
Gets the job done, free is good
I'm really enjoying NaturalReader! I've tried other TTS products on my Mac, but this one does the trick for me whether I'm online or offline. It's got a few bugs when it comes to activating the service for reading selected text, but no worries, there are easy workarounds for now. The nice thing about NaturalReader is that it's not just a browser extension, it's a whole suite of premium TTS tools that cover like 99% of my text-to-speech needs. Overall, I'm impressed with this extension. It's easy to use, has awesome voices, and a slick interface. In my opinion, it's worth it.
Pros: -Premium voices sound natural and read at a near-natural voice inflection. -Incredibly useful for helping get through nearly any required reading material (school text, documentation, etc). Cons: -Doesn't read all text in email. Says for some sites it can't read text at all... this is a non-issue for competition such as Speechify. Perhaps a limitation of the extension. Suggestion: create app that can be given more permissions from the user to read anything on screen. Workaround is to copy/paste it into NaturalReader app to be read in full.... this is cumbersome for the end-user. -Often has issues reading selected (highlighted) text. Built-in accessibility readers, such as is available on MacOS do not even have this problem and they are free... -VERY expensive for premium. No student discount. Other thoughts: Downvote Jefferson Burns. NaturalReader doesn't force you to leave a review, they simply ask you to review their service; it is totally voluntary.

If I could rate 0 I would. The voice's are fine but all it did was keep re reading that same line twice or it would read it then back up and reread the same area and jumble the pharagraphs so its a HUGE no for me.
